from Will Arnett to Mos Def to Michael Cera to Daniel Radcliffe, this book takes a look at your favorite geeky celebs and gives them a little shout out. each geeky dremboat has their picture, some geek nuggets (birthday, fun facts, favorite things, etc) and then a little bio explaining why the authors chose to put them in the celebration of nerdish hotties.
the two funny female authors sum up the purpose of this book so much better than i could hope to with this blurb from the introduction: "Sure, some of these cuties may appear a little dreamier than geeky, or a little geekier than dreamy, but remember, the prevailing theme here is the beautiful and poetic combination that makes up the sexy nerd."
in the style of a teeny-bopper magazine, this is a fabulous idea for that nerd lover in your life, for a coffee table book, or just to add to your geekish repertoire. seriously, it's high comedy and awesome. check it out!
my personal fave geeky dreamboat mentioned in the book: Simon Pegg (duh). "He fights zombies. And zombie killers are rad! Simon is like a big zombie-fighting teddy bear that makes us laugh in a time of crisis. The fact that he loves Star Wars, The X-Files, and zombies may make him the poster child of geeks, but he's still a dreamboat. When we watched Shaun of the Dead, we realized that when zombies take over the world, there's no one we'd rather have defending us than Simon Pegg. On top of that, he has one quality that blinds all women - a British accent." (68)
