a little over a week ago, i posed a question to the blogosphere. having struggled with this forever, i was curious to see how you all dealt with the eternal problem of what to read next. to see the original post, check it out here.
i wasn't surprised in the least to read your thoughts, suggestions, and ideas for choosing what to read next. here are a few highlights from the comments:
April from Good Books and Good Wine: I usually read based on what needs to be reviewed when, unfortunately. I would much rather just read whatever strikes my mood.
Jennifer from A Little Shelf: I just read what I feel like. It makes me happy. :)
Jacinda from The Reading Housewives: Just recently I've made a list of books that I need to read during a certain month.
Rachel from Rachel's Reading Timbits: As I hear about books that interest me, I pull the ARCS off my shelf and into a pile. I try to stack them in priority order, but sometimes skip the line for an impulse read.
also, according to the poll results, the majority of you randomly decide what to read next, while the rest of you were split between going off of a list or doing something else.
thanks for all of your insight and discussion! you may be interested in knowing i'm going to try and get back on the organizational train with my reading. i picked out my next five books to read - we'll see how that goes!
I wish I could be organized enough to make an advanced decision of what to read next. You are my hero.
