i've got my own car, i'm popular.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again. this is my favorite meme. and not just because Ginger is an elite book blogger with incredible design talent. mostly, i adore this meme because she poses a great question for us to discuss and share more about who we are as a reader and as a person behind the blog. she’s insightful, that way.

so, without further gushing, let us get to this week’s question!

Which blog post has gotten the  most comments/activity on your blog this year?

it's a tie between my review for Among the Hidden and my massive assive post in which i declare an attempt to reread my favorite books. i have failed horribly at this, by the way.

it's probably the recent discussion about a publisher sending a letter to bloggers putting out some new reviewing expectations. you can see the full conversation at the article right here

favorite post of the year
as if y'all didn't know. it's my Patrick Ness interview! also know as the best day of my blogging life forever and ever amen.

favorite review of the year
i've read a lot of wonderful books this year. one that keeps coming back to me again and again is I Am The Messenger. it spoke to me and made it's way into my heart forever. also, it prompted a really rad conversation with Markus Zusak that made me super duper happy.

what were your most popular posts this year? any that you think i should check out? be sure to let me know in the comments and link it up over at GReads!

Lisa is a gamer, crafter, fangirl, mother, wife and unabashed nerd who is pretty ridiculous and it's best you know that up front. When she's not binge watching Netflix or crafting into the wee hours of the night, you can find her spending a lot of her time on Pinterest and Twitter.

  1. yay for the Ness interview! i was so happy about that one. i remember being up at 5am, sitting at my kitchen table drinking my coffee with a big goofy smile on my face, reading that piece of awesomeness. i myself will never forget it.

I Am The Messenger is on my list for one of my challenges for 2012. can't wait to dig into it, not only because of how much i loved The Book Thief (even though Mike DNF'd it, shame shame) but because i know you love it so much.

and i seriously enjoyed the publisher post. i'm still trying to digest that one. i still think i'm planning to email you about it, i just haven't formed my thoughts well yet. you know me, it takes time for me to make complete sentences when i get all jumbled up!

i love your blog and your popular posts! xoxo

  2. What up Nada Surf!! haha I totally started singing this song in my head as I read your title post :)

Your blog is one of my faves (like you didn't already know) b/c you always ALWAYS propose honest, insightful content with a dash of your spunky personality. I love it! and I also love YOU!

  3. I just clicked on some of those popular posts and no wonder they got so many comments! I'll just add that I would love to reread my favorite books. I used to do that. There are some books I've read a few times. But now I have an unconquerable pile of not-yet read books and re-reading seems like an indulgence I can't allow myself. Maybe I will though as a special treat...

  4. I love a good re-read post! One where you make all these noble statements about revisiting past loves...And then reality hits and you remember all those books you bought and meant to read...and have yet to buy and mean to read...

    *sigh*

Still love seeing a blogger attempt it ;)

  5. That "dear blogger" post of yours is one of my favorites, if only because it aired an opinion I could agree with!

  8. I'm still jealous you got to talk w/ Markus Zusak. I'm reading The Book Thief right now, and he seems like a really cool guy.

Your blog is also one of my favorites! You're a hardcore Nerdfighter and I love that. Keep it up! :p
