Cricut Explore Air - Design Space 2.0 Preview

I'm so excited to share with you some of the screenshots of the new Cricut Design Space 2.0! I highlight a few different things I'm excited about - but mostly it is more gorgeous, even easier to use, and very, very, very user friendly! Check out the video for more.

This was my first time screencapping, so forgive my repetition and misspeaking at times! I'll get better, I promise. :) I also see it's a bit fuzzy, so I'll know to use a different setting next time.

ANYWAY - I look forward to sharing more of the Cricut Design Space 2.0 with you very soon!

  2. I'm really glad you're blogging about the Cricut. I think I'm going to ask for an electronic cutter for Christmas, so I'm going to spend the next 10 months figuring out which one I want! :)

    1. I do love that while the Explore has new features, the Expression still does amazing things!

  4. I am a first-time user of the die cutting machines and so far, I'm sold on the Cricut Explore Air. Is it user-friendly and easy to use for the first-timer?

    1. It works with a PC/Mac computer - but as far as mobile devices, only iOS for now. They are working on the Android app though! :)

  6. I've had my Explore Air for about 5 months and have not been able to make anything other than the "hello" sample card that it came with. I want to use my own designs. Seems to be impossible.

    1. I'm sorry you're having some complications making the cards! Have you tried making something off of the "landing page" when you go the Cricut.com/design page?

Also, here's a link to my tutorial to uploading your own images. http://www.lisaisbusynerding.com/2015/02/uploading-editing-images-in-cricut.html You can also search on YouTube or on the Cricut website for more helpful info! http://us.cricut.com/home/support/home I think you'll find Cricut is VERY helpful!

Let me know if there's anything I can do to be of assistance!

  8. I'm in need of a little help... I just purchased the cricut air and I'm obsessed. I tried cutting vinyl yesterday and it kept cutting through the backing. What am I doing wrong?

    1. Hi Kimberly - SO sorry to hear about the problems! And wasting of the vinyl. Bummer!

The first thing I can think that it might be is the dial on the top right of the machine. Did you change it to the "vinyl" setting before cutting?

    1. HELLO! Welcome to the wide world of Explore! Don't fret - Youtube will be your new bff. Look up cool ideas on Pinterest and search for "Cricut Explore Tutorials" on YouTube and you'll be off and running in no time!

Also - there is NO SHAME in a crappy cut or stupid project or wasted paper. It's all in the joy of learning! So don't get discouraged when things don't look like Pinterest (I swear, half of the Pinterest crafters must be wizards) but through time and trial and error, you'll get there!

If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to ask! :)

  10. Can you please tell me the best glue, paste or tape when you are using multi layers of intricate cut designs

    1. Yes! I like to use the Zig glue pen (it's blue). Here's a link to the Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Zig-Memory-System-Glue-Bulk/dp/B004XIUU2S
